Life and family
Andreas Buhr has almost 40 years of experience as an entrepreneur, speaker, and author. Under the motto "From Know-How to Do-How," he shares his knowledge of leadership and sales in the form of 28 books and compendiums, as well as large training forums and sales conferences.
Buhr was born on March 9, 1960, in Detmold and is now one of the top speakers and trainers in the field of leadership and sales. In addition to his success as an entrepreneur, he is also motivated to achieve high performance in sports. He has already participated in the New York Marathon three times, works as a ski instructor, and is a passionate golfer. But for Andreas Buhr, aiming high means climbing mountains in the truest sense of the word: even Mount Everest is not too high for him. He now lives in Düsseldorf on the Rhine with his wife and two sons.
Education and career
While studying business administration in Bielefeld and St. Gallen (Switzerland), which he successfully completed with an MBA, Andreas Buhr started his career in the financial services industry in 1980, where he quickly became responsible for setting up international sales and designing and developing a training academy. At the age of 28, Buhr was already at the top of one of Europe's largest sales organizations. To date, he has given over 3,000 lectures in 26 countries to a total of 800,000 participants (online and offline). He has worked with around 500 companies and published 28 books and audiobooks in six countries. His CV also includes 500 press articles and five teaching assignments at various universities in Germany and Switzerland.
Occupation and company
In 2006, Andreas Buhr founded his second company, go! Akademie für Führung und Vertrieb AG, which is now known as Buhr & Team Akademie für Führung und Vertrieb AG. Every year, he trains 12 of his own trainers here. Buhr is a member of the American National Speakers Association, which in 2010 awarded him the rare speaker title "Certified Speaking Professional" (CSP), the first European to receive this honor. From 2013 to 2015, he was president of the German Speaking Association, the second-largest speakers' association in the world, where he was honored with induction into the Hall of Fame. In his lectures and seminars, Buhr draws on the methodology of neurolinguistic programming, for which he is certified as a trainer according to DVNLP guidelines. Buhr's goal: to help people advance in their professional lives.
