Be honest, do you want to feel good in the short term (only) or actually grow in the medium term? Experience shows that most people actually just want to feel good. Taking yourself apart and putting yourself back together again in order to become more is exhausting and painful. But if we make discipline a habit, then we no longer have to consciously be disciplined—a tough school of thought.
What is it about?
The key to long-term results lies in transformation. The mental state we find ourselves in is always that of a sprinkler at first. Sprinklers tend responsibility —and that's a good thing, because it's the first step they need magnifying glass a magnifying glass . Magnifying glasses are focused, clear, and efficient. They aim for results. However, sprinklers tend to want to be used over and over again, so you don't evolve and sprinkler in the sprinkler state. You feel good in the short term – but bad in the medium term. Because status and popularity don't deliver results. They rob you of energy!
sprinkler from the sprinkler mindset, we need sprinkler change the way we think. Problems cannot be solved with the same mindset that created them. This is the key to transformation. And only through transformation can you improve the quality of your thinking—and thus be focused. It's a tough school of thought. But it's the only way to deliver results.
Focus on what you can influence
In many people's minds, results are what you have to deliver and what you are judged by. My understanding of this is more mathematical, linear so to speak: Where is the cause for which effect? I look at something that happens to me, positive or negative, and ask myself: What thoughts and actions led to this result (my life)? And what thoughts and actions lead to what results in others (life)? What can I learn from others, what can I change in my thinking, feeling, and acting so that my result improves? Behind this is the inquiring thought: Where is there a clear connection between my thinking and acting and my results—what happens in my life? I can influence this, but there are also clear limits to my influence, and these must be recognized.
Burning glasses always ask the question: What do I want to have done tonight? Results must be clearly defined in advance. This is how focused people achieve maximum impact and maximum results with minimal effort. Results show the way you deal with yourself and others with confidence. Results show the way you responsibility with responsibility . Results are the relationship you have with yourself and with others. Your results show who you really are.
So the question is, where is the connection between effect and cause? That's what we need to focus on, without excuses or self-pity. If I don't like the effect, I can ask myself where my contribution lies in terms of the cause. That's where I have opportunities to make a difference. And then I understand better and better:
What I thought yesterday is now evident in the form of results in my life.
And it follows that what I think today will manifest itself tomorrow in the form of results in my life.
If I consistently engage with this school of thought, I become the master of my own life and judge others less and less. I remain true to myself, become stronger myself, and help others develop the strength to remain true to themselves.
Become an inspiration to others
Depth arises when we repeatedly reconsider and rethink issues. Only then do we learn and gain inspiration. This process is mentally very demanding. In contrast to this is the lightness of being—entertaining trends that are not lasting. These states can be separated from one another and become visible when we distinguish between substantial depth and superficial lightness. The goal should be to create balance in life. To be able to have a sense of lightness, but also to think through topics in their substance. From my point of view, it's not about what "I want" or "don't want." It's about "what I am meant for." That's a completely different tenor. A life full of meaning and purpose.
