Life and family

Dirk Kreuter is one of the most influential thought leaders in the fields of sales, marketing, and customer acquisition. He gives motivational talks and has contributed to more than 50 internationally available publications, including books, audiobooks, and DVDs.

Kreuter was born on September 30, 1967, in Neuss am Rhein and spent his youth in the Sauerland region. Today, he is a sales trainer and shares his knowledge of marketing and sales with his audience at customer events, kick-offs, congresses, events, and conferences. Many of his publications are industry standards. In addition to being a best-selling author, he has also received numerous other awards, including "Top Consultant." Today, Dirk Kreuter lives happily with his wife and two children in Bochum.

Career and education

After completing his schooling, Dirk Kreuter trained as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant. Shortly thereafter, he ventured into self-employment as a sales representative. This independent work gave him his first practical experience in sales. In 1991, Kreuter began product-related sales training.

Three years later, he completed a training course at the Professional Association of German Sales Promoters and Trainers, which marked his breakthrough. In 2003, Dirk Kreuter became an opinion leader—together with four other sales experts and top sales trainers, he founded "SALESMASTERs." The concept is unique and ran under the motto "5 top trainers on one stage – concentrated expert knowledge." This quickly led to a collaboration with the sales magazine salesBusiness. The merger developed into a Germany-wide series of joint events with up to 1,500 enthusiastic participants per event. Dirk Kreuter held his first seminars abroad for international English-speaking customers in Eastern Europe in 2007.

Occupation and company

As a speaker, Dirk Kreuter is known for his direct presentation style. He spends up to 100 days a year on stage, giving talks that focus on acquiring new customers in business-to-business contact. He has also been a lecturer at Steinbeis University Berlin for several years. With his convincing rhetoric and vivid examples and metaphors, he conveys complex strategies, techniques, and contexts. He combines tried-and-tested content with motivational elements in an informative but humorous way. Dirk Kreuter has received several awards for his successful work. In 2010, he was named "Trainer of the Year," a year later "Speaker of the Year," and he even received American certification as a "Certified Professional Speaker" (CSP). As a sales trainer, he works with many market-leading international companies from all over Central Europe, which has earned him a strong reputation as a sales and marketing expert with a practical focus.

His company, the training and consulting firm Kreuter Sales Resulting GmbH, counts well-known companies among its clients. According to his own statements, Kreuter has already coached more than 500 market leaders, and he still has big plans for 2020: he wants to train people throughout Germany to become better salespeople. Thanks to his role as managing director and supervisory board member, he is familiar not only with the position of leader, but also with the operational perspective of a salesperson in day-to-day business.
